It all started on July 17, 2017—the day I picked up a camera for the first time. What began as a simple curiosity quickly turned into a deep passion. At the time, I was working in accounting, balancing spreadsheets by day while exploring photography on weekends. It was just a hobby at first, something I did to capture the world around me. But as I started photographing people, I realized that what truly fascinated me wasn’t just the technical side of photography—it was the emotions, the stories, and the fleeting moments that made every image meaningful.

At the end of the day, it’s about giving my clients more than just photos. It’s about giving them peace of mind, a seamless experience, and memories they can hold onto forever. While I enjoyed my corporate career, something was missing. In an effort to maximize my savings and eventually buy a home for my parents, I started taking on paid shoots on weekends. What was meant to be a side hustle quickly grew—especially as I began photographing weddings.
There was something about weddings that completely captivated me. The emotions, the energy, the once-in-a-lifetime moments—I knew this was where I belonged. The more weddings I shot, the more I realized that I didn’t just want to document these stories—I wanted to build something meaningful.
Photography gave me a creative freedom and sense of purpose that numbers never could.

Over time, word of mouth and referrals started bringing in more clients, and I found myself fully immersed in the world of wedding photography. It became clear that this wasn’t just a side gig anymore—this was my calling.
That’s when I decided to go all in. I left my corporate job to pursue wedding photography full-time, launching 17th.eclipse as more than just a business—it became a reflection of my journey, my values, and my creative vision.
The name itself holds deep personal significance:
"17th" represents the day I first picked up a camera. "Eclipse" is derived from my last name, Moontarin, symbolizing transformation and the way photography allows me to capture fleeting moments before they disappear.
In the early days, I juggled both photography and my accounting career, reinvesting everything I earned into growing my craft.
