My journey into wedding photography is one of passion, persistence, and purpose. With a documentary-meets-editorial style, I ensure that every image feels as timeless as the love it represents.
As the face of 17th.eclipse, I bring not just my technical expertise but also my commitment to communication, trust, and transparency. I know how important this day is to you, and I make sure that from our first conversation to your final gallery, you feel heard, understood, and valued.
It all started on July 17, 2017—the day I picked up a camera for the first time. What began as a simple curiosity quickly turned into a deep passion. At the time, I was working in accounting, balancing spreadsheets by day while exploring photography on weekends. It was just a hobby at first, something I did to capture the world around me. But as I started photographing people, I realized that what truly fascinated me wasn’t just the technical side of photography—it was the emotions, the stories, and the fleeting moments that made every image meaningful.
I’m inspired by the idea of capturing love in its most honest and beautiful form—turning fleeting moments into something timeless.
Every wedding is unique, and I love the challenge of capturing a couple’s love story in a way that feels authentic to them. Whether it’s a grand celebration or an intimate elopement, I strive to tell each story with depth, artistry, and intention.
I draw inspiration from cinema, fashion editorials, and fine art photography. The way light, composition, and movement come together to create a powerful image fascinates me. I aim to bring that same level of intentionality to my work—creating wedding photos that feel like they belong in a magazine while still holding deep personal meaning.
At the core of my work is the ability to capture real, unscripted moments between people. Weddings are filled with raw emotions—joy, love, excitement, and sometimes even happy tears. Knowing that I get to freeze these moments in time and give couples something they’ll cherish forever is what keeps me inspired.
Experiencing new places and cultures fuels my creativity. My goal is to take 17th.eclipse beyond NYC/NJ and capture love stories all over the world. Different landscapes, architectural styles, and traditions inspire me to approach each wedding with fresh eyes.
Weddings come and go in a single day, but the memories last forever through photographs. The idea that my work will be looked at for generations to come—that a couple’s grandchildren will see these images decades from now—is incredibly meaningful to me.
Photography is an ever-evolving craft, and I love pushing myself to improve with every wedding. Whether it’s mastering new techniques, experimenting with lighting, or expanding my creative vision, I thrive on the idea that there’s always something new to learn.
My clients are a huge source of inspiration. Their energy, personalities, and love stories shape the way I capture their wedding day. No two couples are the same, and that’s what makes this job exciting every single time.
My fulfillment comes from knowing that I’m not just capturing weddings—I’m capturing love, legacy, and human connection in its purest form. And as 17th.eclipse continues to grow, my mission remains the same:
To document love stories with authenticity, artistry, and intention—so that they can be felt, remembered, and cherished forever.
Weddings are filled with once-in-a-lifetime moments—fleeting seconds that hold laughter, tears, and unspoken emotions. Knowing that my work allows couples to relive those feelings decades from now is what drives me. These images become family heirlooms, passed down through generations, carrying the essence of a love story long after the wedding day.
My role goes beyond being a photographer—I become a trusted guide, a calming presence, and sometimes even a friend on one of the most important days of my clients' lives. The trust couples place in me to document their wedding is something I never take for granted. It’s fulfilling to connect with people from all walks of life, understand their love stories, and reflect them authentically in my work.
I’m passionate about creating images that feel raw, cinematic, and timeless—photos that look like they belong in a magazine but also feel deeply personal. Every wedding has a unique rhythm, and I love finding the balance between documenting real, unscripted moments and crafting elegant, editorial-style portraits that make couples feel like the best version of themselves.
Photography is an ever-evolving craft, and I love that there’s always something new to learn—whether it’s mastering new lighting techniques, exploring creative compositions, or expanding 17th.eclipse beyond NYC/NJ to an international stage. The challenge of constantly pushing my creative boundaries keeps me inspired.
At the end of the day, it’s about giving my clients more than just photos. It’s about giving them peace of mind, a seamless experience, and memories they can hold onto forever. When a couple tells me, “We feel like we’re reliving our wedding just by looking at these photos,” or, “You made us feel so comfortable and seen,” that’s when I know I’m doing what I was meant to do.
While I enjoyed my corporate career, something was missing. In an effort to maximize my savings and eventually buy a home for my parents, I started taking on paid shoots on weekends. What was meant to be a side hustle quickly grew—especially as I began photographing weddings.
There was something about weddings that completely captivated me. The emotions, the energy, the once-in-a-lifetime moments—I knew this was where I belonged. The more weddings I shot, the more I realized that I didn’t just want to document these stories—I wanted to build something meaningful.
Over time, word of mouth and referrals started bringing in more clients, and I found myself fully immersed in the world of wedding photography. It became clear that this wasn’t just a side gig anymore—this was my calling.
That’s when I decided to go all in. I left my corporate job to pursue wedding photography full-time, launching 17th.eclipse as more than just a business—it became a reflection of my journey, my values, and my creative vision.
The name itself holds deep personal significance:
"17th" represents the day I first picked up a camera. "Eclipse" is derived from my last name, Moontarin, symbolizing transformation and the way photography allows me to capture fleeting moments before they disappear.
My photography style has evolved into a blend of documentary and editorial, offering couples both the raw, unscripted moments and the timeless, cinematic portraits they’ll cherish forever.
I’ve built 17th.eclipse on the foundation of communication, trust, and client experience—because I know how important it is to feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. My goal is to make every couple feel like they’re not just getting a photographer, but a storyteller who genuinely cares about their love story.
And this is just the beginning. The vision is bigger. The goal? To see my work featured in major wedding publications, to expand beyond NYC, and to capture love stories all over the world.
If there’s one thing my journey has taught me, it’s this:
📸 Passion creates opportunity. Hard work turns it into reality.
